Service Level Update COVID-19

COVID-19

During these difficult times we remain conscious of our obligations towards the safety and well-being of both our team and our customers. We are obviously keen also to balance this important priority with that of making sure that our business services this test; that we keep jobs available to our team and ensure that we are still in a position to provide services to our customers.

What we have done already:

  1. We updated our company Health and Safety Policy – We consulted our specialist health and safety consultancy, and added a pandemic section within our operational arrangements. These arrangements form the backbone of our safe systems of works.  In addition to the policy expansion, we updated our Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations section.
  2. Risk assessed our business specific to the hazard of COVID-19. This means we were able to highlight areas of risk within our business and operations specific to COVID-19.  Having highlighted the risks where able to implement appropriate control measures, to protect our team and anyone who may be affected by our activities.  This risk assessment will be reviewed;

  • Periodically (under constant review during pandemic scenarios).
  • If an employee contracts COVID-19 or similar virus.
  • A change in relevant legislation.
  • A change in government guidance or local risk level.
  • Prior to any works which may bring increased risk of transmission.

  1. We now consider COVID-19 as a specific hazard in all future risk assessments.
  2. We aligned our business with government guidance and implemented management monitoring systems (this includes guidance from the LRF (Local Resilience Forum)). These systems ensure our business remains safe, currently and in the future.  This continuous monitoring allows us to react to the dynamic scenarios’ pandemics create.  Ensuring we always remain compliant with legislation and provide appropriate protection for our team and anyone who may be affected by our activities.
  3. We have trained our staff to ensure they fully understand and accept our new policies and safe systems of works.
  4. We have updated our quoting and scheduling systems, to reasonably ensure our activities do not contribute to the spread of COVID-19 and viruses alike. This includes access arrangements and the return of keys.
  5. We have installed sanitiser stations in all our company vehicles.
  6. We have implemented new vehicle and tool sanitisation procedures.
  7. We have made our communication channels more robust, to ensure any of our clients site specific requirements/procedures are followed during works.
  8. We have prepared documents and posters to inform our commercial clients, domestic customers and site visitors of our safe working systems.
  9. We have implemented relevant health monitoring for our staff, to ensure any symptoms are picked up quickly and action taken to reduce the risk of transmission.
  10. We have refreshed our PPE (personal protection equipment) stock.

In addition to the above, please notify us if anyone on site is at an elevated risk level from Covid-19;

Please note: Legionella risks may be higher, because of water stagnation during the coronavirus outbreak (where a building has been vacant during lockdown for longer than 1 week).  Even reduced occupancy can increase the risks of Legionnaires’ disease.  This element becomes relevant when the building is being reoccupied and yours, or our staff may be working on or near the building water system.  IF you require specialist advice on this matter please contact Darren Buntin, Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. In the future, we will review these elements periodically and as required, to ensure we continue to work in partnership with or valued customers.

We would like to say thank you to anyone and everyone who are key workers and continue working through pandemic scenarios.

Should you require any further information on these matters, please contact Darren Buntin, Email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Thank you for your support and consideration from Darren and the team at LTP.

Testimonials

  • Darren and his team have worked for me over the past two years. Handyman/decorating etc. Type work in a complex of 36 flats. The work is completed to a very high standard. The team are here at least once a month, they look after my residents and nothing is too much trouble. They tidy up after themselves and keep to schedules and appointments.

  • Darren is prompt, reliable and efficient. Over the last 2 years he has done a variety of jobs for me including installing my kitchen in 2017. Most recently I urgently needed a lock repaired on a bedroom door I called Darren and explained the situation. The problem involved replacing the locking mechanism on the door. Having identified the problem, they then went to B and Q, purchased a new lock, and then installed it. When they finished, they cleaned the area and left the property as they found it. Very impressive! This took 2 hours, not 1 day!

  • They were very reliable. Communication was good. The work involved full painting of 2 storey terraced house including stone work to exterior.
Customer in Lancaster, 16 November 2018

  • I just left Darren to it. They fixed a number of tiles on my roof, re rendered some of the external walls, moved a drain pipe which involved moving some guttering. Re painted the external wall after the render had dried.
Customer in Lancaster, 14 November 2018

  • The team did a fantastic job, polite and it was easy from start to finish. Full decoration renovation to hall, stairs and landing.
Customer in Morecambe, 1 November 2018

  • Great job, friendly and extremely tidy. Papering of bedroom ceiling and painting.
Customer in Carnforth, 11 October 2018

  • Every job is given their full attention, honest and pleasant. New garden shed and removal of old one.
Customer in Cumbria, 30 July 2018

  • I have used them on many occasions most recently for an upgrade to my kitchen (sanding and painting kitchen doors/stripping and painting walls and window sills and doors). No job is too big or small for them!

  • Always do a terrific job. Decorating services after weather damage - stripping back damaged paper and painting.
Customer in Morecambe, 7 March 2018

  • Darren gave me a great quote. Arrived on time, covered carpets and quickly got to work, a great job. Will definitely be using him again.
    Customer in Morecambe, January 2019

  • A fantastic job. The work Lime Tree Properties did at the house has transformed it. The quality of the work and finish is excellent.
    Neil in Lancaster, January 2019

  • The Lime Tree Properties team were polite and got on with the job in hand. It might just be a chimney, but the final result looks amazing and has brightened up the exterior of the house – I highly recommend Darren and his team and will definitely be using them again
